David Crisante - Founder & Course Facilitator
David is a public speaking specialist with deep experience training scientists, government ministers, ambassadors and celebrities. He is a regular MC at shows and conferences, and has featured at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and Sydney Comedy Festival as both a speaker and comedian.
David started his career in journalism (ABC, SBS, Tokyo as a correspondent), before running media and communication teams within government (DFAT, icare) as well as within science and medical organisations (WWF-Australia, Neuroscience Research Australia, Rural Doctors Network).
He was a speechwriter for parliamentarians including the Foreign Minister, Trade Minister and International Development Minister. And he was deployed to cover crises including the search for MH370 and numerous international disasters.
He runs team-building workshops, public speaking courses, comedy classes, and is director of the Sydney Comedy School.

Seaton Kay-Smith - Course Facilitator & Comedy Writer
With television writing credits including ABC’s ‘The Wondergang’, ‘Good Game’ and ‘The Roast’ as well as Disney’s ‘The Book of Once Upon a Time Season 4’ and ‘Alphabet Street’ Seaton Kay-Smith has written for radio, the stage and print and performed stand-up comedy for seven years.
He has produced webseries such as Nick and Seaton, a sketch comedy series and the animated series’ Askaran, Ghost Songs and Marsh and the MoshkiMallow, of which there were two series. All these series saw festival success in Australia and overseas and both Askaran and Marsh and the Moshkimallow were acquired by Russian streaming site Chill to be dubbed in Russian and released later this year.
He was one of the founders of Paper Moose – the advertising/production company who created Alphabet Street for Disney, and in 2019, he founded another production company “Town by the Sea Productions” to focus on the development of film and television projects and to pursue his passion for creating comedic content that bridges the gap between funny and introspective misery.
